Known as "Mighty," Marissa is a classically trained actor, professional stuntwoman, and accomplished dancer with a rich background in film, television, and live performances. She brings depth and complexity to her roles, delivering powerful performances that leave an impact. Fueled by relentless curiosity and a strong belief in storytelling’s transformative power, she has earned multiple honors, including two Best Actor awards, a Solo Award, and nominations from the SAG, Ovation, and Taurus Awards.
Always in motion, Marissa has explored various forms of movement, from dance and gymnastics to martial arts, running, jumping, and climbing trees. She has danced both nationally and internationally with PCB Ballet and Inland Pacific Ballet and has trained in karate, capoeira, and Tae Kwon Do. At Scripps College, she earned a BA in Dance and English, receiving the prestigious Lucille Morrison Scholarship. Afterward, she performed as a principal dancer throughout the U.S. and worldwide with companies like John Pennington and the LA Philharmonic, Oni Dance, Rosanna Gamson Worldwide, Company of Strangers, and Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre.
Her collaborations include working alongside Tina Turner, Christina Aguilera, LL Cool J, and major brands such as Nike, iPod, and Coca-Cola. Transitioning to television and film, Marissa appeared in shows like "The Drew Carey Show," "Shake It Up," "911," and "Henry Danger," as well as films including "House Bunny," "Colombiana," "Logan," and "Birds of Prey." Through film, she had the opportunity to work with David Belle, the parkour pioneer, which introduced her to the stunt world—a perfect fit for her versatile skills.
Driven by her passion for storytelling, Marissa founded UP Productionz, a company creating visually striking, emotionally powerful film and TV content. The company’s work has won awards such as Best Screenplay and Best Action/Adventure at various festivals. UP Productionz combines all of Marissa’s creative talents, focusing on movement through dance, stunts, and physical expression, while promoting inclusive stories with a strong emphasis on female-led perspectives.
