Born in Abington, MA, just south of Boston, Susan began performing at a young age. At six, she joined a drum and bugle corps, entertaining thousands of spectators. She also trained in ballet, jazz, and modern dance at various studios around Boston. In 1995, she earned a Theatre degree from UMASS Boston and soon after relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. In 2003, Susan married and moved to Long Beach, MS, near New Orleans, where she works as an actor, dance instructor, and Pilates/Yoga teacher. She frequently participates in workshops to collaborate with casting directors, recently including Cheryl Loudin-Kubin, Erica Bream, Cara Rosenbaum, Ryan Glorioso, Rhavynn Drummer, Matthew Morgan, and Matthew Sefick. Additionally, she continues her training through online programs by Amy Jo Berman, coaching sessions with Lance Nichols, and scene study classes with Gary Grubbs.
