María Molins (Barcelona, February 14, 1979) is a Spanish actress known for her work in film, theater, and television. She has received two Gaudí Award nominations, winning Best Leading Actress in 2013 for her role in the film El Bosque.
Molins began her career in theater, where she has spent most of her professional life. Early on, she appeared in minor roles in Catalan TV series such as Tocao Del Ala and Homenots. In 2001, she joined the Catalan TV series El Cor De La Ciutat, portraying Isabeleta until the show's conclusion. Her film credits include Todo Está En El Aire, Cobardes, and A La Deriva.
In 2011, she starred in the TV3 movie 14 de Abril. Macià Contra Companys and appeared in an episode of the Spanish series Cuéntame Cómo Pasó.
After enrolling in the Faculty of Fine Arts, she began her dance career at the Theatre Institute of Barcelona but left in her fourth year to focus on acting, ultimately graduating in Dramatic Art from the same institute.
In 2012, she joined the cast of the Antena 3 miniseries Historias Robadas, centered on a stolen baby case and the search for biological family. She also appeared in the TV movie Olor de Colònia and the TV3 series Kubala, Moreno y Manchón. That year, she starred alongside Álex Brendemühl in El Bosque, earning her the 2013 Gaudí Award for Best Female Lead.
In 2014, she became part of the TV3 afternoon series La Riera as Àgata and appeared in the biopic Seve, portraying Carmen, mother of golfer Severiano Ballesteros.
Since 2015, Molins has been a recurring cast member of Telecinco's La Que Se Avecina, playing Sandra, press officer to Enrique Pastor.
In 2016, she featured in the first season of Antena 3's La Embajada and premiered in the Argentine-Spanish thriller Cien Años De Perdón. She also starred in the short film Ciudadanos, directed by Marc Nadal.
In 2018, she played a significant role in Julio Medem's drama El Árbol De La Sangre.
In September 2019, she joined the fourth season of Servir Y Proteger as one of the main characters, Verónica Figueras.
In 2023, she starred in the horror film La Niña De La Comunión.
