Jennifer May Walker is an actress, burlesque/go-go performer, model, and singer. Born in Montreal's West Island, her passion for theatre began in childhood. She participated in The Pauline Rathbone Children's Theatre in Montreal, attended the Ottawa School of Dance, and was a gymnast for 13 years.
Jennifer trained with renowned Meisner coach Jacqueline McClintock and studied Uta Hagen's technique with Marc Durso from Miami. She also frequently trains with Gordon McCall, former director of Montreal's Centaur Theatre, and is currently a student at the Tom Todoroff Acting Conservatory in NYC.
Her performing career took off in 2007 when she landed the role of Janis Weiss in the live musical theatre production of the cult classic 'Rocky Horror'. Jennifer portrayed Janet for three consecutive years at prominent Montreal venues including Theatre National and L'Olympia.
This experience introduced her to burlesque and vaudeville, leading to three years of sold-out burlesque performances at the Montreal Fringe Festival. She also performed at the Montreal Fetish Weekend and modeled for Polymorphe latex clothing on the main stage at Le Medley, Montreal.
Soon after, Jennifer relocated to South Beach, Miami, working as a professional go-go/showgirl dancer at high-profile clubs and events such as Liv, Set, The W (Wet Bar), and The Ultra Music Festival.
On August 23, 2012, following the passing of her beloved teacher Jacqueline McClintock, Jennifer committed herself fully to acting without exceptions or excuses. Shortly thereafter, she appeared in the short film "Ceramic Tango," a psychological thriller/fantasy directed by award-winning filmmaker Patricia Chica, which was presented at Cannes in 2013.
She then took a role in the French short drama/thriller "Ainsi-Soit-il," directed by emerging filmmaker Alexandra Elkin. Jennifer portrayed Agnes, an abused young wife opposite well-known Quebec actor Louis-Georges Girard.
From June 15-22, 2013, Jennifer starred as Leonda (Satan's girlfriend) in "Alex Cross and His Rise to Fame," a rock comedy written and directed by Frankopho Nietzsche, performed at the Mainline Theatre, the headquarters of the Montreal Fringe Festival.
