Gregori J. Martin is a two-time Emmy® Award-winning director, five-time Emmy® Award-winning producer, and five-time Emmy®-nominated writer. He is the founder, CEO, and chairman of LANY Entertainment, an independent film and television production company. Martin is best known as the creator, director, and showrunner of the multi-camera drama series The Bay, which has won 23 Emmy® Awards and received 64 Emmy® nominations. The show is available on streaming platforms including Tubi, Peacock, Amazon Prime, Popstar! TV, and TenPlay Australia. Additionally, Martin earned an Emmy® nomination for his work as director, writer, and co-executive producer on the POP-TV family comedy This Just In, where he contributed for two seasons.
Martin also serves as Co-Executive Producer on the animated feature Saurus City, starring Emma Roberts, Ron Perlman, Dennis Quaid, and Tim Meadows. His other notable projects include directing, writing, and producing the upcoming film noir The Raven, a reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe's works featuring the late Tony Todd in one of his final roles. He is part of the producing team for the psychological war drama The Plastic Men, inspired by true events about a Vietnam War veteran battling PTSD, narrated by acclaimed actor William Fichtner. Furthermore, Martin produced Breakout, one of Tubi’s most successful independent action films, featuring a prominent ensemble cast.
Recently, as Associate Head Writer, Martin contributed to the launch of the CBS Daytime Drama Beyond The Gates, a collaboration with Proctor & Gamble and the NAACP, which premiered on CBS and Paramount+.
In 2023 and 2024, The Bay made Daytime Emmy history by becoming the first independent series ever nominated for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series. Martin has written, produced, and directed over 100 episodes of the show and is currently developing its tenth season.
