Gary brings over 30 years of experience in the screen industry, working both as an actor and a director of films, TV series, serials, and commercials. He directed the British low-budget urban thriller "Sugarhouse" (2007), nominated at the Edinburgh Film Festival, featuring Andy Serkis, Ashley Walters, and Steven Mackintosh. Gary also led the Emmy-winning BBC series "Waking the Dead." Most recently, he directed "The Following" (2015), a Warner Brothers drama series for Fox, starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy.
He has directed numerous actors, including John Thaw, Ray Winstone, Ewen Bremner, Matthew Rhys, Shawn Ashmore, Emily Lloyd, James Purefoy, and Kevin Bacon. Gary has directed over 30 hours of prime-time British drama.
He is perhaps best known for his role as "Sergeant Wilton" in the long-running, award-winning series "Soldier Soldier." Additionally, he has appeared alongside Michael Caine, Richard E. Grant, Michael Gough, and Jessica Alba.
