L.T. Martinez is a performing artist, arts educator, and an advocate of the creative workforce. A local Angeleno from Whittier, California, he is a self-identified band geek turned theatre nerd with a deep-rooted love for live music, film production, and movement artistry.
In 2021, L.T. was selected for Creative West's Emerging Leaders of Color program, marking his initial foray into the world of arts policy and nonprofit administration. The following year, he was awarded recognition for his choreography when the Troubadour Theatre Company won Best Choreography by the L.A. Drama Critics Circle for their production of "LIZASTRATA!", staged at the Getty Villa in Malibu.
L.T. is also an alumnus of The Action Collective, having completed both the Stunt Boot Camp and Advanced Camp under the mentorship of accomplished stunt coordinators and performers. In 2024, he trained with the Motion Picture Driving Clinic, Hollywood's premiere stunt driving school. His dedication to movement, creativity, art, and community continues through his work as a Teaching Artist in the Commercial Dance Conservatory at Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA).
Some of his professional credits include Annie at the Hollywood Bowl ("Ensemble"), The Prom on Netflix ("Dancer/Ensemble"), Penny Dreadful: City of Angeles on Showtime ("Dancer/Pachuco"), and Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl ("Apostle/Ensemble"). He currently plays the recurring role of Executive Liaison with CA for the Arts, California's statewide arts advocacy organization, and works as a seasonal Choreography Coach for the Whittier High School Theatre Company.
Beyond the stage, L.T. manages and cares for citrus trees, tropical variants, and a ton of succulents. In addition to frolicking through the backyard garden, his daily artistic practice includes not skipping leg day, overseeing organizational event budgets, and coordinating timelines for digital media production and meetings with state legislators.
