Dale ("DeeTee") Dale plays a recurring role as "Roy" in CBS's Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and portrays "Calvin Etienne" in Season Two of Netflix's BEEF. He stars alongside Patton Oswalt in the sci-fi anthology series Shatter Belt - The Specimen, available on Apple+ and Prime. His extensive TV credits include Leanne, Carol's Second Act, Turnt, Detroiters, Bones, Modern Family, Kingdom, House M.D., Mr. Sunshine, Brothers & Sisters, How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, E.R., Close To Home, Desperate Housewives, The Shield, Cold Case, Once and Again, and Hill Street Blues.
Dale is the executive producer, writer, and lead actor of the award-winning short film My Name Is Lamar. His film work also includes Hurricanna, All The Way, Electric Slide, Two Days In Cabo, Perimeters, The Marshmallow Mystery Tour, Intolerable Cruelty, Real Women Have Curves, This Christmas, Loaner, Teddy Bears' Picnic, Wedding Day, Dharini, Gobhi and God, and Bloody Wednesday.
He was honored to be on the 2025 and 2026 Primetime Emmy ballot for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
In voiceover, Dale portrayed Sampson Fair in the Antaeus Theatre Company's radio play Zip Code Plays - Pacoima. He narrated the audiobook What The Hell Do You Have To Lose?: Trump's War On Civil Rights by Juan Williams and The Hall - A Celebration Of Baseball's Greats for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, both released in Fall 2014. He also voiced multiple characters in the video game Grand Theft Auto V.
Dale began his professional theater career at Starlight Musical Theatre performing in The Desert Song. Since then, he has appeared in Joe Turner's Come And Gone, White Linen, and Toys In The Attic at the Old Globe Theatre; Inspecting Carol at Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Ain't Misbehavin' at Cincinnati Playhouse; Once On This Island at Virginia Stage Company; A Christmas Carol and Death Of A Miner at San Diego Rep; The Secret Garden and Big River at Sacramento Music Circus; Woyzeck at Sledgehammer Theatre; Ceremonies In Dark Old Men and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof at The Human I Theatre; My One And Only and Showboat at Starlight Musical Theatre; Benches at Broadwater Theatre in Hollywood; and Rule My World at Long Beach Playhouse 99.
With over 100 national commercials to his credit, Dale earned Advertising Age Magazine’s Best Commercial Actor award in 2004 for a U.S. Army commercial.
As a vocalist, Dale contributed to the feature film This Christmas and served as lead singer and percussionist for the R&B band Upside De Head. He has performed in recording sessions and concerts with Chris Brown, Poison, Barry Manilow, Helen Reddy, gospel artists Tramaine Hawkins, John P. Kee, Kurt Carr, and was a member of the gospel group The Rickey Grundy Chorale.
Dale's screenplays—Mr. Cotton, Chalkline, Nice Guys Finish Lonely, Annie's Miracle—and his sitcom Theme Park are currently being developed through his production company, TurnerWorks.
