Darwin Del Fabro (she/her) is a Brazilian-born actress, singer, writer, and producer based in New York City. She is set to premiere her deeply personal solo play, LILI/DARWIN, at The Tank (New York City) in August 2025. The intimate, genre-defying piece marks Darwin’s powerful return to the stage following her gender transition and draws on her lifelong connection to the story of Danish painter and transgender woman Lili Elbe. Blending personal narrative and historical record, the play explores what it means to be truly seen and what it costs to claim your identity in a world that doesn’t always make space for it. Featuring live music and original storytelling, LILI/DARWIN is not just a theatrical experience - it is a declaration of visibility, healing, and creative rebirth.
Darwin has privately and publicly explored gender through her art and life. Her transition surgery in late 2024 marked a personal and artistic turning point -- not a reinvention, but an emergence. Followed by months of recovery, growth, and reflection, 2025 marks a year of renewed presence for Darwin, one where she feels aligned in voice, body, and purpose. In writing LILI/DARWIN, she set out to demystify trans experience through her specific story - and to offer an honest window into her journey and invite understanding, connection, and empathy.
On screen, Darwin is best known for her breakout role as ‘Gabriel’ in the Blumhouse horror film "They/Them," directed by John Logan and now streaming on Peacock alongside Kevin Bacon and Carrie Preston. In Brazil, she earned acclaim in the TV series "Ligações Perigosas" and "Novo Mundo," showcasing her range across historical drama and contemporary storytelling.
