Luis Alberti is an acclaimed Mexican actor born on October 30, 1981, in Mexico City. He graduated from the theatre acting school "La Casa Del Teatro" A.C., where he honed his craft under the guidance of theater and filmmaking mentors such as David Hevia, Roberto Duarte, Carolina Politi, and Rocío Belmont (IMDB).
He began his career by founding the independent theatre company "Vaca 35 teatro en grupo," focusing on exploring theatrical acting language and developing intimate stage performance skills through seven years of continuous experimental theater work. Currently, he is a member of the contemporary theatre company "Teatro Lúcido," performing in the play "BESTIARIO," based on Julio Cortázar's writings and directed by Moira Santoro. On television, he is widely recognized in Mexico for his role in the popular series "Rosario Tijeras" (2017) and for his first leading TV role portraying Mexican singer/composer Lupe Esparza in the TNT biopic "Bronco, un éxito Indomable."
Since 2011, Luis Alberti has appeared in numerous TV series, including "Crónica de castas" (2014), the biopic "El Caesar" (2017), Telemundo's "Enemigo Íntimo 2" (2020), "S.W.A.T." (2021), "Jugar con Fuego" (2019), Amazon's "El Candidato," and "Before I Forget" (2021), sharing the screen with Damian Alcázar, Paulina Gaitán, and Dolores Heredia, under the direction of Mexican filmmaker Ernesto Contreras.
In film, he has taken on diverse roles in international productions. His first co-starring role was in "Carmín Tropical" (2015), directed by Rigoberto Pérezcano, which earned him a nomination from the Mexican Film Academy (AMACC) for the 2015 Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actor, as well as the CANACINE Luminus Award for Revelation Actor. He also co-starred in Peter Greenaway's film "Eisenstein in Guanajuato," which was part of the official selection at the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).
In 2020, he won the Ariel Award for Best Actor from the Mexican Film Academy (AMACC) and the Eye Award for Best Actor at the 2019 Morelia International Film Festival for his leading role in "Workforce," produced by Michele Franco and Eréndira Núñez and directed by David Zonana.
In 2022, he stars in the film "La suerte de Juan" by Carlos Armella, currently in postproduction.
