Kevan J.R. Grant, also known as Pitt, was born June 27, 1987 in Beaumont, Texas. He is the son of Joyce Granger and 20+ years military veteran Vernon Grant Jr. His father, from Beaumont, Texas, is black and of Navajo Indian descent, and his mother of also of Indian descent. Pitt is the oldest of 6. He has 2 sisters ( Rhianna and Amiya) and 3 brothers (Prentice Sr., Landen, Theo) . While growing up, Pitt traveled a lot with his father being in the military. During high school,in 2002, Pitt connected with a group of friends and began to record music. It started as just something to kill time, but Pitt quickly developed a passion for his musical creations followed by the motivation from listeners saying he should take it serious. Pitt played varsity football for 2 years, wrestled, and was also the editor and photographer for the sports section of his senior year yearbook. Pitt also wrote and recorded a football theme song for his junior and senior varsity football seasons. His coaches would play the songs over the loud speaker while the team worked out in the field house.
After High School, Pitt continued to pursue his musical career. When things started to slow down, he turned to animating with the idea of promoting his music through cartoons. Pitt made his animating debut in 2012. Being inspired by other Youtube animators like FILNOBEP and Kartoon Management.
Pitt has a daughter, Eliana R. Grant, born in 2014, and a son, Kevan J.R. Grant Jr, born in 2017 with his wife Donay Woodside-Grant.
