Brian Durkin has appeared on both the big and small screens in productions including "Stranger Things," "The Walking Dead," "Brockmire," "Footloose," "Anchorman 2," "Killing Reagan," and upcoming projects like the "Superfly" remake and Netflix's "Highwaymen." Since beginning his acting career in 2004, he has featured in over 45 film and television roles.
Originally from Charlotte, NC, Brian was raised in Georgia and Florida. He holds a degree in building construction science from the University of Florida and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
In 2001, between his studies, Brian relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. After completing a Basic Scene Study course at the Howard Fine Studio, he impressed Howard Fine and was advanced to the studio's Advanced Scene Study Course.
Brian’s first role came in 2004 as Perry Adair, the best friend of Jim Caviezel’s Bobby Jones, in "Bobby Jones - Stroke of Genius." Throughout his career, he has worked alongside notable actors such as Kevin Costner, Woody Harrelson, Kenneth Branagh, Kathy Bates, Denzel Washington, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Kevin Kline, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, and Bill Paxton.
He is married to Mary Catherine Fortner and they have two children: Evelyn Wiley, age seven, and Samuel Nelson, age five. Brian resides in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and is represented by the People Store Agency.
