Ben Jehoshua grew up in Haifa, Israel during the 1980s, passionate about storytelling through video production and editing, creating music videos and experimental shorts. At 16, he was hired to direct a scripted project featuring 5th graders from a local religious Jewish academy. This archaeology-themed special effects film was shot in tunnels beneath Jerusalem and the ancient city of Akre, premiering to an enthusiastic audience of parents. After two years of teaching children how to film and edit their own videos, Ben relocated to Los Angeles in 1993 to study at Columbia College Hollywood.
During college, Ben directed numerous independent music videos and secured a position as a video editor at Campos Creative Works, a creative agency in Santa Monica, CA. He also worked as a freelance TV editor, gaining experience on shows such as Unsolved Mysteries, The Great Lifetime Makeover, and Intimate Escapes.
In 2001, Ben co-founded Image Line Productions with two partners. The company produced high-end presentations for clients including Honda, Intel, Microsoft, and Chevron, as well as numerous toy commercials for Mattel and MGA Entertainment. Ben was also chosen to edit the 2006 Oscars and the 2009 Emmys.
Beginning in 2009, Ben focused on development and editing for reality television. After freelancing as a producer and editor, he was appointed Vice President of Development at Brian Graden Media in 2014, overseeing production teams developing shows for the company.
In late 2014, Ben directed his first feature film, The Chosen, starring Kian Lawley, a project he co-wrote with two partners.
Ben continues to collaborate on feature film projects with several partners, seeking the ideal opportunity to showcase his storytelling talents.
