A seasoned television actress, she has appeared in Magpie Murders, portrayed Sheryl Mulberry in Jimmy McGovern’s Moving On for BBC1, and featured as Aunt Venn in Anthony, directed by Terry McDonagh—both productions by LA Productions. On Irish television, she starred as Marvellous in RTÉ’s Taken Down, directed by David Caffrey for Spiral Pictures.
In 2010, she joined Hollyoaks as Gabby Sharpe, head of a new family. Her film credits include The Forsaken and Happy Ever Afters. She is perhaps best known for playing supermodel Liberty Baker in the final series of ITV’s Footballers’ Wives, a role that earned her the Favourite Female TV Star award at the Screen Nation Awards. Her screen career spans both sides of the Atlantic, with appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck, Charmed, Diagnosis Murder, The Unit, Doctors, and The Bill.
Over the last decade, she has toured her one-woman show Identity Crisis, which she wrote and produced, performing all nine characters. The show originated at Rose Theatre Ormskirk as part of her Master’s degree. The tour included stops at Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum, The Blackie, Manchester’s Z Arts, Bristol’s Wardrobe Theatre, London’s Actors Centre and Ovalhouse, Edinburgh, and New York City’s Soho Playhouse, earning five-star reviews throughout. It was also a highlight of Liverpool’s Black History Month celebrations at Hope Street Theatre and concluded at Shakespeare North.
Her upcoming project is Cancel Culture, a play exploring motherhood.
A natural storyteller in every form, storytelling is at the core of her passions.
She is the published author of the Jacopo Jacopo Football Star series, following a 10-year-old mixed-heritage boy from Liverpool chasing his Premier League dream. The series launched on Amazon during lockdown. Additionally, she is an experienced Liverpool Echo columnist and broadcaster, having presented and produced her own show on BBC Radio Merseyside. She has also made frequent appearances on The Wright Stuff. Before acting, she worked as a model in New York, having begun her career in London and Paris as a fashion model, then moving to New York where she featured extensively in American fashion magazines and represented Gap for five seasons. Her passion for acting led her to the renowned Actor's Studio, where she became a lifetime member. In Los Angeles, she was fortunate to study under Martin Landau, Mark Rydell, and Barbara Bain. She launched her film and TV career in the United States.
