Gary Sievers was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, one of six children: brothers Robert and Phillip, and sisters Carol, Johanna, and Theresa. His mother, Rosamond, hailed from Anthony, Kansas, and his father, Henry, was an immigrant from Essen, Germany. Gary began working at age 11, running a paper route for six years, and later worked in his father's auto repair shop during his teenage years. He played high school sports and graduated from Tulsa Bishop Kelley High School. He attended the University of Tulsa for two years before joining the Army National Guard, serving six years during the Vietnam era.
After his military service, Gary held various jobs. He married Bettie Wood, later divorcing with no children. Four years later, he married Jackie Denson; they had one daughter, Andria Leigh Sievers, before divorcing. Since then, Gary has remained single and raised his daughter as a single custodial parent.
An avid outdoorsman, Gary spent summers working on his grandfather's ranch in Kansas, enjoyed camping, was passionate about water skiing during the summer months, and rode motorcycles. He hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and holds a private pilot’s license. He also developed a hobby in pool billiards, becoming a skilled player. Gary’s travels have taken him throughout the USA and to several European countries, including a visit through East Germany during Communist rule before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
His work experience includes 15 years as the owner/operator of a commercial trash company in Tulsa, 10 years as a professional boxing trainer and manager, and serving as president of a video production company in Tulsa. This career path eventually led him to relocate to Hollywood, California, where he currently lives and pursues a career in the movie industry while maintaining a home in Oklahoma. Gary is actively involved in both acting and production.
