Stephen Malit is the lead producer at IN.2 Film, Johnny Depp's European production company. A British film, theatre, and event producer born in London, he studied business with a focus on computer development and trained in video editing during the shift from film to video. He began his career producing fashion shows, pop videos, art films, and concert films.
He started as a post-production supervisor at the Comic Strip, then worked freelance in production management for Big Talk Productions, Robert Fox Ltd, and The Recorded Picture Company. Developing connections with Julien Temple, Mike Figgis, and Johnny Depp, he has produced over 20 films and is recognized for Modi - Three Days on the Wing of Madness (2024), Under Milk Wood (2015), and London Modern Babylon (2012).
Driven by a passion for music, he has produced several award-winning music documentaries such as Crock of Gold and Oil City Confidential, managed filming at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival since 1998, and produced three segments of the Glastonbury Festival, including Cineramageddon, a distinctive 5,000-capacity outdoor cinema showcasing film and art installations.
As a pioneer in event cinema, merging live events with documentaries, he has released multiple films theatrically in the UK, including Jeanne Du Barry (2024), Oil City Confidential (2009), and Hector (2015).
