Michael is from Long Island, New York. Although he began acting at age 6, music has always been his true passion. He has played drums since he was 4 and started writing songs and playing guitar around age 12. Michael and his brother, Brian D'Addario, formed a band when they were 6 and 8 years old and have been making music together ever since. In 2014, they established the alternative rock band "The Lemon Twigs." After signing with the independent label 4AD, they released their debut album, "Do Hollywood," in October 2016. The band toured across the US, Europe, Australia, and Japan, and followed up with an EP, "Brothers of Destruction," in September 2017. Their second album, "Go to School," was released in 2018, followed by their third, "Songs for the General Public," in 2020. Their fourth album, "Everything Harmony," came out in 2023, and their latest release, "A Dream is All We Know," was released on May 3, 2024.
