Andrea-Rachel Parker is an American actress and choreographer, recognized for her role as "Bernice" on the acclaimed HBO series The Deuce (2017) and as "Destiny" on STARZ's Image Award® nominated series Power (2014).
She won the SOFIE award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016 for her performance in UGLY. The previous year, she starred in 72 HOURS: A BROOKLYN LOVE STORY? Her television work also includes the TIDAL digital series After Hours (2017) alongside Tristan "Mack" Wilds, as well as Transgender Bridge (2015).
On stage, Andrea-Rachel appeared in the Off-Broadway production of Children of Killers by Olivier Award-winning playwright Katori Hall. She is a winner of the Manhattan Monologue Slam and received the "Audience Favorite" award at the Independent Film New York (IFNY) monologue slam competition.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she attended Brooklyn High School of The Arts (formerly Sara J. Hale), focusing on dance and a minor in science. Enrolled in the school's fast-track program, she graduated a year early. Before her acting career took off, she performed with artists such as Jennifer Hudson and Luke James.
A true Brooklynite, Andrea-Rachel is a practicing vegan and advocates for autism awareness, health, wellness, and self-care. She says, "acting allows me to be everything and nothing at the same time." In her free time, she raises awareness for animal rights and mental health. Her fitness routine has included training in capoeira and stage combat. Known for her wit and authenticity, she aspires to pursue writing and directing as her career advances.
Though American, Andrea-Rachel’s heritage includes Jamaican, Chinese, Spanish, and Native American roots. Her father was born and raised in Jamaica, with a Spanish mother, a Chinese aunt (from different mothers), and a grandfather of Jamaican and Irish descent. Her mother is Native American with Indian and Dutch ancestry. Growing up in a culturally rich and diverse family, with relatives serving in the Marine Corps, Army, and Navy, she embraces their varied experiences, which have influenced her storytelling and travels. Her family connections span the UK, Japan, the American South (Savannah, Georgia and North Carolina), and Canada, fueling her openness to new experiences. She hopes her work inspires acceptance and inclusivity and aims to create meaningful stories drawn from her own life that others can love and learn from.
Andrea-Rachel has developed an interest in technology, analytics, and people, applying these insights to her unique acting style. She owns and operates TF?!*, an inclusive platform supporting those who are different, disabled, chronically ill, or otherwise marginalized by helping them connect, build skills, promote talents, and find employment. The organization honors her late brother, Chaz Antwan Williams, who was on the autism spectrum. She also holds two invention patents currently in development and has become a muse to renowned artists across various fields.
Her childhood sweetheart, now husband, Waka Flocka Flame, reunited with her in 2019, and they have been inseparable since. The couple reaffirmed their commitment with a ceremony in 2022.
