Margarita Reyes is an actress, producer, and advocate whose career bridges entertainment, education, and community impact. With a body of work spanning television, film, and independent productions, she is dedicated to telling stories that celebrate resilience, elevate diverse perspectives, and foster human connection.
Beyond her work on screen, Reyes has established herself as an independent producer committed to developing character-driven films that explore identity, faith, perseverance, and the transformative power of storytelling. Her producing portfolio includes independent and television features, reflecting a passion for projects that entertain while inspiring meaningful cultural conversations.
Reyes is equally devoted to empowering the next generation of storytellers. Through hands-on filmmaking programs in California public schools, she has mentored more than 400 students, guiding them from concept to screen. Projects developed under her mentorship have been showcased at Creative Artists Agency, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Sony Pictures Studios, providing young filmmakers opportunities to share their voices on some of the industry's most respected stages.
A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Chicana/o Studies, Reyes is fluent in English and Spanish. She divides her time between Los Angeles and Birmingham, where she continues to develop film, television, and educational initiatives rooted in storytelling, mentorship, and social impact.
