Jack Andreozzi was born in Providence, Rhode Island, in the Italian neighborhood of Federal Hill. His father, Salvatore Andreozzi, hailed from Caserta, Italy, while his mother, Antonetta Lepre, was the daughter of immigrants from Tiano, Italy. Jack later relocated to the Eagle Park area of Providence and attended Mt. Pleasant High School. He left school at 16 and, after a decade of various jobs and aimless wandering, moved to California with his wife Carol, whom he married in 1962. He graduated from Los Angeles City College and worked briefly as a grip in different studios, where he developed an interest in acting. He took an acting class and within months landed a few lines in a comedy skit on "Tony Orlando and Dawn." After several years performing in dramatic and sitcom roles, he secured a recurring role as Sal the Plumber on "Hill Street Blues," which lasted a couple of years. He continued acting until around 2001, when misunderstandings and frustrations diminished his passion for the craft, leading to his retirement. Jack has one son and three daughters—Gio, Brandi, Tean', and Jamiene—who have blessed him with five granddaughters, Ashley, Shasha, Sarah, Kolaiah, and Gianna, and two grandsons, Elijah and Israel. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
