*A Brief About Satish Sharma*
Having started his acting journey in his early forties, Satish Sharma has worked in around 35 projects, including Hindi films, web series and a South Indian film.
Satish Sharma is a second-generation journalist and the Publisher and Owner of Uttarakhand’s premier English daily, 'Garhwal Post', which is in its 29th year of publication. He is also actively promoting the state through his film initiative Uttarakhand Film Producers Enchanting Himalaya, encouraging Indian and international filmmakers to shoot in Uttarakhand.
Satish began his acting career with a cameo as an MLA in the 2013 film 'Maazi', starring Sumit Nijhawan and Mona Wasu. He later appeared in 'Gang of Littles', alongside Govind Namdeo, Deepraj Rana, Shehzad Khan, Abhishek Duhan, and Roshni Walia, where he played the role of the Chief Minister.
In 2016, he appeared in the Yash Raj Films production 'Sultan', starring Salman Khan and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, once again portraying a politician. His two appearances in the film were widely noticed and appreciated.
Satish also portrayed a lawyer in 'Viraam', starring Narendra Jha and Urmilaa Mahanta. He further expanded his filmography with the South Indian film 'Kaappaan', directed by the late KV Anand, and starring Suriya, Mohanlal, and Sayyeshaa.
His performances in the web series 'Bestseller' on Amazon’s Prime Video, and 'Peshawar' on MX Player, were also well appreciated.
He has also been part of projects such as 'Kasoor 2' and 'Vidya: Sapno Ki Udaan'. Looking ahead, Satish Sharma is working on upcoming projects including 'Ganga' and 'Little Pannu’s Wife', as he continues to enjoy this exciting new phase of his life as an actor.
