Biographie
Lincoln Alexander is an award-winning cake artist and founder of Flour House Cakes & Co. in Metro Detroit. He developed a passion for cake artistry at an early age, growing up in a home where his mother was an avid baker. She ran a small cake baking and decorating business out of their family kitchen. As a child, Lincoln would often sit on the floor, watching in awe as his mother created delicious confections from memory. She would invite him to help with various cake decorating projects, unknowingly sparking a lifelong interest in the culinary arts.
At just fifteen, Lincoln began designing and decorating cakes for local community members, including government officials. By the time he graduated from college, he had delivered over fifty custom cakes across five states and three countries.
Today, L. Alexander's award-winning couture cakes have been featured on television shows like The Sherri Show and Tamron Hall, as well as in prominent publications such as ELLE, PEOPLE, EBONY, ESSENCE, The Knot Magazine, Over the Moon, MunaLuchi Bride, Black Bride Magazine, Grand Rapids Magazine, Hour Detroit Magazine, and more.
Lincoln's creations are not only visually stunning but also delicious! The Knot Wedding Magazine recognized him as a 2024 Ones to Watch honoree, and Wedding Day Magazine named Flour House Cakes & Co. one of the "Top Bakeries in the Midwest." The iconic Wilton Cakes also featured him and his phenomenal work.
He is a season one winner on Disney's food art competition show, FOODTASTIC, hosted by Keke Palmer. His team's life-size creation was featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! He is also a two-time winner on Cake Toppers, hosted by Buddy Valastro on HULU, and master competitor on the Food Networks' cake art competition show, Super Mega Cakes with Duff Goldman.
