Biographie
Born and raised in Wyandanch, N.Y., Bryant Pearson knew from the age of ten that he wanted to act and perform in front of audiences. Fueled by strong willpower and determination, Bryant refused to let his family's hardships deter him from his true passion: acting. This craft gave him pride, fulfillment, direction, and focus.
Once Bryant entered the industry, opportunities quickly sparked his passion even more. In 2007, he was cast as Drug Dealer #3 in the blockbuster "American Gangster," starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Working with director Ridley Scott on this film was a dream come true. The following year, Bryant appeared as one of the Buffalo Soldiers in Spike Lee’s "Miracle at St. Anna," embracing the chance to work in Italy with the acclaimed director.
Returning to New York, Bryant pursued further training at the Susan Grace Cohen Studio in New York City. During this time, he landed the supporting role of Tank in the independent film "Criminal Behavior," starring Clifton Powell and directed by Warren Pemberton. Since then, Bryant has appeared in "Redemption" alongside George Loros and "Clipped Wings" with Bill Cobbs. He has also acted in several independent shorts including "Run With Me," "Chance Encounter," "Loaded," "Pablo on Wheels," "14085," and "Uguisu." Recently, Bryant accepted a role in the feature film "Secret Effect," with filming scheduled for summer 2014.
Bryant credits much of his success to a strong support system. A devoted family man, he is a loving husband and father. His personal motto is, "Just go for it; if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be." Bryant is also a proud member of SAG/AFTRA.
Watch for the day Bryant Pearson walks on stage to accept his Oscar. He firmly believes, "If you really want something in life, you must go the distance and make it happen. With God on my side, the sky is the limit.
