Daniel Coll – Actor, Director, Presenter
Daniel Coll is a versatile British actor and filmmaker with over 40 years of experience across television, theatre, film, and documentary. Renowned for his depth, adaptability, and distinctive presence, he has portrayed a wide range of characters, from authoritative detectives to compassionate fathers, both on stage and screen. He excels in delivering compelling drama and hosting captivating travel and factual programs.
His screen credits include DI Frank Blackmore in Emmerdale, as well as roles in Braveheart, The Crown, Bullseye, Waterloo Road, Coronation Street, and EastEnders. On stage, Daniel has appeared in West End musicals such as Billy Elliot, where he was one of the original fathers alongside Tim Healy, and the national tour of Les Misérables as Enjolras. He has also toured the United States with Oliver! and performed as Dame in traditional pantomimes at Leeds City Varieties and other venues.
As a presenter, Daniel infuses travel and lifestyle shows like Are We There Yet? Ireland and Dan's Travels with Paddy Doherty with warmth, humor, and curiosity, with broadcasts airing in the UK and internationally. Behind the camera, he directs award-winning films and impactful documentaries, including collaborations with journalist John Sweeney and projects centered on Ukraine.
Daniel trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and earned a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from Sheffield Hallam University.
