Biographie
Matthew Underwood was born and raised in Florida, known as The Sunshine State. Drawn to entertaining from a young age, he began his career at 8 years old, starting with training for a competition in Orlando, where he showcased his talents to thousands. Following this, he pursued his career in Miami with The Green Agency, appearing in various commercials and television pilots such as "Kids Line," a news program aimed at today’s youth, and "E-Venture Kids," an educational show that introduces children to cultures around the world.
In his youth, Matthew developed a passion for extreme sports, challenging himself with barefoot water skiing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, parasailing, skateboarding, and surfing—a lifestyle he still embraces today through activities like skydiving, windsurfing, rock climbing, and B.A.S.E. jumping. After relocating to Los Angeles to further his career, Matthew gained global recognition for his role as the arrogant and charming "Logan Reese" on the children’s series Zoey 101 (2005). The show aired for four years across 90 countries, earning him widespread popularity.
Matthew uses his platform to advocate for education, supporting arts programs in schools and environmental causes. Committed to humanitarian efforts, he has traveled worldwide building homes for those in need and delivering school and medical supplies. Continuing his entertainment career, Matthew lent his voice to the animated vampire "Thatch" in Casper's Scare School (2006) and voiced "Hide," a tough Firebender, in Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005). He also achieved a childhood dream by starring as "Matthew," an unsuspecting contestant on a reality show, in the film Reality Horror Night (2009).
Passionate about mentoring, Matthew shares his expertise by teaching acting to young performers globally, encouraging them to expand their creativity and imagination.
