Biographie
Patrick Lazzara is an actor, writer, and director based in Los Angeles. Originally from Buffalo, New York, he moved with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada, during his childhood. As the middle of three brothers, Patrick had a vivid imagination and often reenacted films with his siblings, including favorites like Grease, Escape From New York, and Scarface. He was active in outdoor sports and enjoyed watching a wide range of movies. Throughout middle and high school, Patrick was more engaged with the social side of school than academics, earning a reputation as the "class clown." He played freshman and varsity baseball as well as freshman football, while also taking multiple theater arts classes.
Patrick studied at the Joseph Bernard Acting Studio and attended the Community College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing on film and theater, which laid the groundwork for his acting and filmmaking career. During this time, he discovered his natural talent for screenwriting and co-wrote the short film Study Hall in 2002, which premiered at the New York Film and Video Festival.
In the summer of 2003, Patrick traveled to Los Angeles to consider relocating for his acting career. After two days, he secured an apartment, returned to Las Vegas to gather his belongings, and moved to LA. He then began training with Joe Salazar for acting, Craig Wallace for auditioning techniques, and took improvisation classes with Second City. After participating in several short films and student projects, he landed his first feature film role in The Carbon Copy. In 2009, Patrick wrote and directed the short film The Astray, which premiered at the Action on Film International Film Festival and won three awards: Best Actor (James Arlen), Best Villain (John Fava), and Best Breakout Female Star (Michelle Gracie, co-producer). He has also performed on stage at The Underground Theater in Los Angeles in productions such as Durang, Durang and Friends and Fables. Patrick continues to expand his work in film, television, commercials, and in writing and producing.
