Biographie
Evgeniya Radilova, originally from Bulgaria and a renowned figure on both screen and stage, has come to the United States to share her talents. Coming from a lineage of four generations of artists, she naturally pursued acting. After graduating from the National School for Music, where she studied piano, she became the youngest actress to perform on a professional stage. At just 18, she was cast in a major TV production, "Masters of the TV," co-hosting nightly on Bulgarian National TV for three years.
Relocating to the U.S. to advance her acting career, Evgeniya graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, receiving the Charles Jehlinger Award for Best Actress, and was invited to join the 2009-10 AADA Company. Her first post-academy role was a lead in the Off-Broadway production of Blood Wedding, earning her Equity Card and critical acclaim. She has since performed Off-Broadway, joined SAG and AFTRA, and became a lifetime member of The Actors Studio. Renowned actress Ellen Burstyn personally accepted her into the studio as one of only three chosen that year. Evgeniya played Burstyn’s daughter in The Cherry Orchard, directed by John Gould Rubin.
Her television credits include appearances on "Limitless," "Law and Order SVU," "Elementary," "Spartacus," and "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll." She has also acted in numerous short and feature films, including "Price for Freedom" alongside Sally Kirkland, Paul Sorvino, and Ken Davitian, which was featured on the "Larry King Show." She starred in the independent film "Dreams Of The Last Butterflies," screened at 50 film festivals across 13 countries and five continents, winning seven awards. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Blow-Up Chicago International Arthouse Film Festival for her role in "Let Them Have Their Way!"
Recently, Evgeniya co-founded I Dare Productions, where she has spent the last two years producing, writing, and directing. Her debut music video, "True Paradise," won awards at the Winter Film Awards, LA Cinema Festival of Hollywood, and Miami Film Festival. Her film "My Relationship With The Moon" received the Special Recognition Award at the Cayanne Film Festival. She is also a lifetime member of the Playwrights Directors Unit at The Actors Studio.
She wrote, produced, and directed the shorts "Patrik" and "El Cavil," directed and produced the music video "Nothing Changed for Me," and is co-producing and co-directing the film "Then and Now," where her lead actor gained 40 pounds for the role.
Evgeniya has been invited twice to teach and direct film and theatre workshops in Chongqing and Kunming, China, creating two films with students, "Fortune Sticks" and "Marga." She also directed a production of Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" in Chongqing and delivered a well-received lecture for film professionals in Kunming, with plans to return for further teaching.
Passionate about fire dancing, Evgeniya founded Evgeniya Entertainment, an entertainment company featuring performers from Cirque du Soleil, top NYC artists, and underground and street performers. She has performed at premier cabaret venues in NYC, festivals, and directed shows nationwide.
