Working across HBO, ABC, Paramount+, Lifetime, and Warner Bros, Hunter Nance is building a rapidly expanding body of work across film, television, and commercial projects. Known for grounded intensity, emotional depth, and natural screen presence, he continues to draw attention from major casting offices through a growing slate of leading and supporting roles alongside established industry talent.
Hunter portrayed Teddy, a troubled bully with a difficult past, in Beyond the Rush, an award-winning drama/thriller directed by Robert Sayegh, sharing the screen with industry veterans Cathy Moriarty, Mena Suvari, and Eric Roberts. The film won Audience Choice Awards at both the Chelsea and Peachtree Film Festivals.
Hunter’s performance as a soulful, cerebral character who explosively comes out of his shell was singled out as a standout in the ’90s-inspired thriller 213 Bones. Starring alongside Collin Egglesfield, Dean Cameron, and Liam Woodrum. Premiering in the largest theater in Europe at UK Fright Fest, the sold-out screening received acclaim for its authentic ’90s feel and performances. The film is running at Cannes to finalize its distribution voyage.
Hunter plays a charismatic, layered "life of the party" character with wit, emotional depth, and inner battles to fight in Filmmonster, created by Michael Leoni and 11:11 Productions - known for socially conscious projects like American Street Kid, Othello on Broadway, and Waiting for Godot starring Keanu Reeves. The film, set for the 2026 festival circuit, follows a student filmmaker confronting his twisted past.
In celebration of Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary, Hunter appeared as Dennis - a wild, adventurous, and flirtatious jokester - in the reimagining of the legendary classic Rebel Without a Cause, directed by Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz for HBO Max. Hunter’s performance added humor, energy, and charisma to the modern retelling, bridging the rebellious spirit of the original with contemporary relevance.
Hunter’s adaptability is evident in the wide range of roles he’s brought to life in television as well. He showcased sharp comedic timing and effortless charisma as a flirtatious party guy in Doctor Odyssey (ABC), then tapped into his easygoing, boy-next-door charm in Cruise Ship Murder (Lifetime). In Mafia Spies (Paramount+), he revealed a more calculated edge - anchored by quiet observation and instinct. Hunter also appeared in The Time Traveler’s Wife (HBO), sharing the screen with Rose Leslie as a confident partygoer whose charm adds a touch of levity to the film’s emotional undercurrent.
Hunter brings a strong physical and performance-based skill set to his craft, excelling in physically demanding roles. With a background in dance and stunt training under industry legend Keith Cox, Hunter has risen to the occasion time and again - most notably performing his own stunt through an eight-foot sugar glass window, which he regards as one of his favorite on-set memories. His work in fashion modeling further expanded this foundation, giving him the ability to command space and embody storytelling through presence.
Beyond acting, he’s a student pilot, advanced scuba diver, photographer/videographer, designer, and writer-all pursuits that reflect his creative drive and passion for growth. He draws inspiration from his mother’s love of aesthetics and his father’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Hunter developed a resilience, independence, and reflective nature that continue to shape his work on and off screen. Grounded by his love for the outdoors - hiking, fishing, and camping, and skilled in weaponry with handguns, rifles, bow and arrow - he feels most connected to himself in nature making him perfect for dystopian/ survivalist type roles. At the same time, his curiosity for technology, storytelling, and business fuels a forward-thinking approach to the industry.
Hunter has honed his craft through training in various acting disciplines, including scene study with Adam Smith and Brad Calcaterra, as well as personalized coaching with Tracy Britton and Lucas Van Engen. He has also trained in Improv and cold reading with Arthur Massei and Angela Mickey, commercial technique with Barry Shapiro, and continues his improv studies at Second City in NYC.
Philanthropy is a big part of Hunter's life. An active nonprofit board member, Hunter is dedicated to making an impact beyond the screen, particularly through his advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. He strives to bring empathy and connection into every aspect of his career.
