Biographie
Jason Deline is a Canadian actor, voice artist, voice coach, comedian, and director with extensive experience across animation, film, television, and commercial projects. His career began in high school musical theater, where he was the youngest cast member in a production of Little Shop of Horrors. This early involvement led to a role in the Canadian teen series Ready or Not (1997). He later explored radio broadcasting, gaining valuable voice-over and commercial experience.
Starting with Bakugan Battle Brawlers (2007), Jason voiced Drago, the Dragonoid, in the Bakugan franchise for over 15 years, concluding his role after Bakugan: Evolutions (2022).
He also lent his voice to two main characters in the animated series Chop Chop Ninja (2018), based on Gamerizon's mobile game series, portraying Neeko, the lively ninja, and Tetsuo, the disciplined cat warrior.
In 2023, Jason earned a Leo Award nomination for Best Performance in an Animation Series for his role as a mob dog in Saving Me.
His voice work includes characters such as Benkei in Beyblade: Metal Saga (2009-2013), Bow Hothoof in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (2017), and various roles in Arthur (2010-2012). He has voiced hundreds of commercials for brands including Dodge Ram, Subaru, Coke, Tim Hortons, and Mitsubishi.
Jason’s comedic background spans musical theater, improv, sketch comedy, and radio plays. He co-founded the sketch comedy troupe Radio Vault, which performed at the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, and co-created the Comedy Album Book Club podcast, dedicated to dissecting iconic stand-up albums.
He mentors aspiring voice actors through his Find Your Voice workshops and developed Voice-over for Improvisers at The Second City Toronto.
Jason’s on-screen appearances include films like X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) and The Walk (2015), as well as TV series such as Arrow (2015), Star Trek: Discovery (2017), The Night Agent (2023), and Dead Boy Detectives (2024). His association with the Star Trek franchise has led to invitations to conventions and honorary membership in the Klingon community.
As a director, Jason has overseen voice direction for numerous commercials and the animated project Crack-Duck (2014).
Jason Deline married actress Helena Marie on October 25, 2015. They live in Vancouver with their dog, Charlie.
