Biographie
Veronica Merrell was born on August 6, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri. At age 16, she relocated to Los Angeles, California. She has an identical twin sister, Vanessa Merrell, who is also an actress, musician, singer, and songwriter. Together, they are known as the Merrell Twins and run three YouTube channels: "Merrell Twins," "Roni and Nessa," and "Merrell Twins Live."
Veronica is recognized for her roles in the CW Network's Jane the Virgin (2014-2016), MTV's Faking It (2015), the film The Standoff (2016), Like A Boss (2020), and various video projects on Awesomeness TV's YouTube channel. Vanessa and Veronica, as the Merrell Twins, have a main YouTube channel boasting over 5.1 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views. Their content includes a mix of comedy and music, featuring original comedy sketches, music videos, popular song covers, original humorous songs, and challenge videos.
The Merrell Twins received a Shorty Award for YouNower of the Year in 2016 and earned a second Shorty Award nomination in 2019 for Best YouTube Ensemble. They won two Streamy Awards: Best Live Show in 2016 and Lifestyle in 2018. Additionally, they were nominated for a Teen Choice Award in 2017 for Choice Female Web Star; in 2018, they received two Teen Choice Award nominations for Choice YouTuber and Choice Female Web Star; and in 2019, they were nominated again for Choice YouTuber. The Merrell Twins were also nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award in 2020 for Favorite Female Social Star.
