Whether directing a car chase, gunfight, intimate love scene, or dance sequence, Tracy sets the tone and rhythm that perfectly suit each project. She embraces it all with passion. From the age of six, Tracy knew she wanted to create films that entertain with original, unique, exciting, thought-provoking, and inspiring stories. As a child, she gathered neighborhood kids to "Make a Show" for family and friends, infusing every performance with laughter. She excels at working with children, even those new to sets, earning producers’ affectionate nickname, "the kid whisperer."
A former child actress, singer, and dancer, Tracy appeared in 22 productions before turning 20. She earned a degree in Theater and Film Directing, then moved to Hollywood, where she was quickly hired as a CBS staff writer following her first TV movie script. Despite the challenges female directors face, often being overlooked in favor of less experienced men, Tracy remains steadfast, dedicated, and passionate about her craft. Her acting background enriches her directing style, making her a respected "actors' director."
Tracy's directorial debut was the low-budget action film Maximum Breakout, made for just $65,000. Although it went straight to video, it has grossed over $8 million worldwide—a remarkable return. Following this success, she transitioned to TV directing for Fox, adapting to its faster pace with credits including America’s Most Wanted, Beyond Belief with Dick Clark, Melrose Place, and the Fox pilots Scary Planet and North of Montana. She holds the distinction of being the first and only female director of Baywatch Nights and Baywatch, the highest-grossing TV show ever.
Highly regarded and well-liked, Tracy is praised for her excellent communication skills. Cast and crew enjoy working with her, as she consistently delivers projects on time and within budget. She is also skilled in post-production and soundtrack coordination.
