Biographie
Adrian Guri is an Albanian filmmaker, producer and senior film editor whose work spans documentary, fiction, television, and environmental storytelling. He began his career in the film industry at the age of sixteen, working in sound before expanding into directing, editing, cinematography, color grading, and producing.
Guri is known for creating socially engaged films that explore the relationship between people, culture, and the environment. His feature documentary "Saving the Vjosa River" gained international recognition through festival screenings and awards, reflecting his commitment to using cinema as a tool for environmental awareness and social impact.
As a filmmaker and producer, he has directed and produced numerous short documentaries and fiction films. His short fiction film "The Wooden Suitcase (2026)" was supported by the Albanian National Film Center. Beyond his own directing work, Guri has contributed to more than twenty feature films and over one hundred short films in various creative and technical roles, collaborating on acclaimed productions such as "The Delegation (2018)", "Europa (2023)", and "House with a Voice (2024)".
Since 2014, Guri has been a leading figure at the Tirana International Film Festival, helping shape one of Albania's most important film events and promoting international cinema in the region. He also serves as Director and Co-Host of CreativeMornings Tirana from 2024.
In addition to filmmaking, Guri is an active mentor and educator, training young filmmakers in directing, cinematography, and post-production through various cultural and educational programs. His work continues to focus on powerful human stories, combining cinematic craftsmanship with a strong commitment to social and environmental issues. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Film Directing from the University of the Arts in Tirana, Albania.
He is the founder of AM-Production, a well known production company based in Tirana, Albania.
