Leigh Simons has produced groundbreaking and award-winning content, collaborating closely with Hollywood A-listers, Grammy-winning musicians, and world-renowned athletes. At Screen Media Films, he contributed to the production, distribution, and marketing of over 25 feature films. While working with BMG, Leigh produced live events and concerts featuring top music industry stars. He served as an on-air host and spokesperson for HBO, Cinemax, Ring TV, and the Discovery Network. Simons produced the Discovery series "Secrets of Superstar Fitness," which showcased episodes with Johnny Depp, Sylvester Stallone, Hugh Jackman, Christie Brinkley, Petra Nemcova, Oscar De La Hoya, Martina Navratilova, Jim Courier, and Dolph Lundgren.
In 2003, Simons formed a strategic partnership with Golden Boy Promotions, a then-startup boxing promotion company founded by 10-time world champion Oscar De La Hoya. Collaborating with HBO, SHOWTIME, ESPN, and FOX, Leigh Simons Productions delivered internationally televised sports advertising and documentary programming in English and Spanish for over 60 Pay-Per-View events, generating more than one billion dollars in revenue. These groundbreaking documentaries included seven Pay-Per-View campaigns for Floyd Mayweather, six for Canelo Alvarez, and multiple events for Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins, Gennady Golovkin, Shane Mosley, and Juan Manuel Marquez. Through his work with Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez in developing their brands, both fighters became the highest-grossing Pay-Per-View stars of their careers.
In 2013, Simons wrote, directed, and produced the sports documentary "Countdown to The One" for Showtime and Fox Networks, tied to the highest-grossing event in Pay-Per-View history. In Mixed Martial Arts, Leigh Simons Productions helped launch the then-fledgling UFC on SPIKE, contributing to its rise as the fastest-growing sports franchise in history. Simons continued to produce documentary programming for UFC and Bellator Fighting Championships on the Spike Television Network (now Paramount). These prime-time documentaries featured MMA legends such as Fedor Emelianenko, Tito Ortiz, Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture, Rampage Jackson, Ken Shamrock, Chuck Liddell, and the late Kimbo Slice.
