Biographie
Lance Dreesen, an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, is a Writers Guild of America member and partner at Red Five Entertainment, Inc., an independent film production company based in Atlanta, Georgia. He also works as a freelance producer/editor and teaches film acting and screenwriting.
His current project, End the Wait, which he will produce and direct, highlights the urgent need for live kidney donation through the inspiring true story of Russell Dallas and Randy Simpkins. The film aims to raise awareness, encourage donations, and ultimately end the wait for dialysis patients, saving over 100,000 lives.
Dreesen made his directorial debut with Terror Tract, a film he also produced, which achieved both critical acclaim and financial success. Featuring John Ritter and Bryan Cranston, Terror Tract was acquired by the USA Network and won top awards at film festivals across Europe and the United States. It also saw theatrical releases in France and Latin America.
His film The Way Home, which he wrote, directed, and edited, starred Dean Cain and was released by Lionsgate. This inspirational true story follows the search for a missing two-year-old child and explores the resulting crisis of faith experienced by the parents and community. The Way Home premiered on the cable channel UPtv, where it set new ratings records.
Dreesen’s earlier work, Big Bad Wolf, starring Richard Tyson and Kimberly J. Brown, was released by Screen Media and Universal Home Video in 2007. The film received rave reviews, won top honors at film festivals, and developed a strong online fan base. He also produced the supernatural thriller Conjurer, starring John Schneider, which was an official selection at the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival and premiered successfully on Showtime.
His writing credits include Charlie's Ghost Story, directed by Anthony Edwards and starring Cheech Marin, and Arthur's Quest, starring Ayre Gross for Crystal Sky Entertainment. Additionally, Dreesen has written and developed projects for numerous production companies and studios, including Universal Pictures and Fox Television.
He resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two sons. An avid cinephile, cyclist, and Bulldog fan, he enjoys a diverse range of interests outside of filmmaking.
