Biographie
Félix-Antoine Leroux, better known as DJ Horg, is a DJ, music producer, rapper, actor, and videographer. As a child and teenager, he gained recognition for his roles in Paul, Marie et les enfants (1985), Tadpole and the Whale (1988), and Watatatow (1990).
In the mid-1990s, Leroux stepped away from acting to pursue a career as a hip-hop DJ and producer. Under the name DJ Horg, he launched his music career by producing the album Karnageez N' Kombinn Lakaill (1997) for KZ Kombination. This album is considered a classic in Quebec and is noted as the first full-length album in Haitian Creole produced in the region.
Since then, he has worked extensively with hip-hop artists from Quebec. His most acclaimed collaboration has been with rapper Samian, producing Samian's first three albums: Face à soi-même (2007), Face à la musique (2011), and Enfants de la terre (2014). At l'ADISQ, Quebec's music industry awards, the first and third albums received nominations for Best Hip-Hop Album, while the second won the award.
Other significant productions by Leroux that earned l'ADISQ nominations include Un gars de même (2005) by Sir Pathétik, Et7era (2010) by Steve Jolin, Radiothérapie (2014) by Dramatik, and Grosso modo (2018) by his duo Seba et Horg.
Additionally, Leroux has composed scores for various documentaries and television programs such as Un trou dans le temps (2008), Les Sceaux d'Utrecht (2014), La ligne rouge (2016), and L'effet secondaire (2020), among others.
