Biographie
Kurush Deboo was born on 12 September 1963 in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Maharashtra, India, and raised in Navsari, Gujarat. He completed his Commerce degree in Navsari in 1984 before moving to Mumbai for postgraduate studies in Advertising and Marketing. He earned a Diploma in Advertising & Marketing from Xavier's Institute of Communications, Mumbai, in 1986, and a Diploma in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, University of Mumbai, in 1987.
In 1988, Kurush Deboo completed a diploma in acting from Roshan Taneja's Actors Studio. Shortly after, he made a remarkable debut in the film "Percy," produced by NFDC, which garnered critical acclaim and earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the National Awards in 1990. His portrayal of Tehmul in the Canadian film "Such A Long Journey" brought him international recognition and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Canadian Genie Awards in 1999.
He has appeared in numerous successful Hindi films, including "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa," "Page 3," "Taxi No. 9211," "Apne," "Jhankar Beats," "Kasoor," "Bhoothnath Returns," "My Friend Ganesha 2," and "Lage Raho Munnabhai." However, his role as Dr. Rustom Pavri in the highly popular "Munnabhai MBBS" brought him widespread fame. Additionally, his performance in "Little Zizou" showcased his versatility as an actor.
Kurush Deboo has also featured in many successful television series such as "Ek Nayi Ummeed - Roshni," where he played Dr. Anand Singh, Roshni's father; "Jeannie Aur Juju" as Doctor Doctor; as well as "Adalat," "Zindagi Khatti Meethi," "Ishq Kills," "Maniben.com," "Ashiq Biwi Ka," "Four," "Shaka Laka Boom Boom," "Banegi Apni Baat," "Bible Ki Kahaniyaan," "Chanakya," and "Bombay Blue.
