Deep Singh Kakkad is a visionary Indian film producer and the founder of Guru Media Films, with a career built on some of India's most acclaimed films, including Gangs of Wasseypur, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Peddlers, and Bombay Talkies. Beginning his career at a young age, Deep honed his craft over six years at Anurag Kashyap Films and Sikhya Entertainment, serving as Associate Producer on Haraamkhor, Peddlers, and Vakratunda Mahakaya. During this time, he produced over 40 short films and four feature films before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey.
As an Executive Producer, Deep has spearheaded numerous award-winning films, short films, and advertising campaigns, with expertise spanning creative strategy and international festival positioning. His recent work includes College Romance 4 (Sony LIV), Roti Kapda Aur Internet starring Sunil Grover, Gul Panag, and Raghubir Yadav, Cinema Marte Dum Tak (Amazon Original Series), and a musical anthology directed by Jyoti Kapoor Das, starring Jubin Nautiyal and Shreya Chaudhary, filmed across Kolkata, Sikkim, and Mumbai.
Earlier in his career, Deep curated and produced Shorts, a theatrical anthology of five short films that earned accolades at leading international film festivals. In advertising, he has collaborated with over 30 directors to produce more than 110 commercials for renowned agencies such as McCann, Ogilvy, DDB, Mullen Lintas, VML, BBH, Schbang, Experience Commerce, and Sapient Nitro, working with iconic brands including Lufthansa Airlines, British Airways, ICICI Bank, Coca-Cola, Lenovo, TLC, UEFA Champions League, Saavn, and Revital.
Deep's work in film and advertising has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the National Film Award, A-List Hollywood Awards, Golden Award of Montreux, Inkspell Videa Gold, and afaqs! Digies Gold, reflecting his vision, creativity, and impact on contemporary storytelling.
