Biographie
Brendan Gabriel Murphy is an acclaimed filmmaker (p.g.a) and co-founder of Altered State Entertainment. He has been featured in Variety, Deadline, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Hollywood Interview, H-Magazine, and The Top 100 Indie Filmmakers in the World for his directing accomplishments. His innovative short film, "SWERVE," starring Shiloh Fernandez (THE ODYSSEY, EVIL DEAD, RED RIDING HOOD) and Juno Temple (TED LASSO, FARGO), earned five major festival awards and secured three distribution deals. Brendan’s feature directorial debut, "#LUCKY NUMBER," featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man (POWER BOOK II, SHAFT) and Tom Pelphrey (OZARK, MANK), achieved a worldwide distribution agreement with Vision Films. He also directed "HISTORY'S GREATEST HEISTS" with Pierce Brosnan, airing on the History Channel, and "UFO WITNESS" for Discovery+. Brendan has created ad campaigns for KANE Watches across Europe and Asia, shooting in Amsterdam and Kyoto. He co-directed branded content for NIKE Training, Amazon Prime Video, and Leyline Games and has led NBC, FOX, and CBS network campaigns, collaborating with series regular TV stars and senior network executives. His psychological thriller "FLUXX," which he co-wrote, produced, and directed, stars Tyrese Gibson (FAST & FURIOUS, 1992) and Shelley Hennig (OBLITERATED, TEEN WOLF), and is set for theatrical release on May 30, 2025. The film has won 12 festival awards and recently secured North American distribution with The Forge. Brendan most recently co-directed "THE TAILOR OF SIN CITY," now streaming on AMC+. He also wrote and directed the western thriller "BLOOD BEHIND US," starring Michael Madsen (RESERVOIR DOGS, KILL BILL) and Jaime King (SIN CITY, OCEAN'S EIGHT), which is completing post-production and slated for global release in 2026. Additionally, Brendan has a scripted TV show, "THE GOOD HURT," in development with Live Nation Productions. Production on his next feature, "Nocturnal," a psychological horror film, will begin in Europe in summer 2025. Brendan is represented by Kyle Otto at Zero Gravity Management.
