Biographie
Megan is passionate about storytelling, with a career spanning documentary, television, film, theatre, magazines, radio, and writing. She serves as president and co-owner of Pyewackitt Productions, an independent company dedicated to producing high-quality, socially relevant programs with a distinct perspective. Megan executive produced and directed "Surrogate Stories," a two-hour TV special focusing on surrogate mothers and their intended parents. Her previous documentary work for WEtv includes "Child Brides" (Producer/Director/Writer) and "Polygamy" (Producer/Writer). She produced, directed, and co-wrote the critically acclaimed independent documentary "Trial By Fire: Lives Re-Forged," praised as "a must-see" by Real Screen, "emotionally potent" by the Los Angeles Times, and "a truly important film" by PBS International. The film aired nationally on PBS and worldwide, and is available on Amazon Prime. Megan also directed "The Buddy System," an award-winning documentary about the bond between a young boy on the autism spectrum and his specially trained assistance dog, Buddy. She formerly served as festival director of the five-star rated Ridgefield Independent Film Festival and is launching the inaugural Fairfield Film Festival in November 2021. Currently, Megan is in pre-production for the feature film "A Stage of Twilight." Alongside her filmmaking, she is a speaker, interviewer, frequent panelist, film festival judge, and an award-winning writer and playwright. Megan resides in Wilton, Connecticut.
