Biographie
Leddy was born on May 5, 1976. She is the daughter of actor John Leddy and his second wife, Jannig Greijdanus. She has an older brother, Arne, who works in television as an art director, and an older sister, Roos, who is a sculptor. After finishing high school, Rixt studied at the Theatre School of Utrecht and graduated in 2001. During her studies, she appeared in Wim T. Schippers' sitcom "We Are Back Home."
Leddy gained extensive theater experience by touring the Netherlands with various shows. She and director Karim Traïdia traveled to Morocco to create and perform a play. Upon returning to the Netherlands, Leddy frequently collaborated with director, writer, and actress Sanne Vogel. Together, they developed and starred in the play 'HOP' at the Theater Festival 'De Parade.' Rixt also appeared in Vogel's films 'The Canary Film,' 'The Pop Group,' and 'Bibi's Beauty Blog.' A notable play she wrote and performed in alongside her father John Leddy is 'Here Come the Leddys.'
In spring 2005, Leddy was cast as Dian Alberts in the Netherlands' longest-running soap opera, "Good Times, Bad Times." This role made her well-known in the country. She was part of the regular cast from October 2005 to February 2008. In 2006, she balanced filming for GTST with shooting Paul Verhoeven's film 'Black Book.' After leaving the soap, she co-starred in the fourth season of 'Gooische Vrouwen,' playing the doctor of Martin Morero, portrayed by Peter Paul Muller. That same year, she starred as Yolande Hamecourt, a spiritual and clairvoyant visual artist, in the drama series 'Wolfseinde' for two seasons.
Over the next five years, Rixt worked extensively with the Musical Theatre Company 'The People's Opera House,' where she acted, sang, and played the ukulele in their productions. In 2013, Leddy relocated to Los Angeles with her American husband and daughter. Since then, she has returned to the Netherlands once for filming 'Dames 2' and has done some voice-over work. In May 2013, she appeared in a supporting role in the short film "A Wedding.
