Biographie
Xan Parker is an accomplished creative documentary producer with more than 20 years of experience crafting culturally impactful stories for major broadcast, streaming, and brand platforms. Her work has premiered at prestigious festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, and Telluride and has been featured on HBO, PBS, CNN, ABC, and National Geographic. Her most recent film, The New Yorker at 100, directed by Marshall Curry, is set to premiere on Netflix in December 2025. Xan has collaborated with some of the most visionary directors in the industry on both independent and commissioned projects. She served as creative producer on Ron Howard's Emmy-nominated Rebuilding Paradise (Sundance, National Geographic), which Roger Ebert called "the most impressive piece of storytelling Howard has ever been associated with." Other significant credits include After the Bite (HBO), The Big Payback (Tribeca, PBS), Tigerland (Sundance, Discovery Channel), and the series Mind/Trip (Roku) and The Hill (Sundance Channel). Beyond film, Xan's expertise extends to film heritage, museum exhibits, and branded storytelling. She founded a production division within a New York-based branding firm, where one of her shorts helped raise over $100 million for cancer research. She also coordinated the 16-screen installation You Are Here, exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York, and led a collaboration between Maysles Films and the Criterion Collection to reintroduce classic films to new audiences. Xan is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Television Academy, the Documentary Producers Alliance, and the NationSwell Council.
