Biographie
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Jesus found his true calling in Sydney, Australia, at eighteen. There, he enrolled in his first professional acting course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
In 2004, after spending a year back in Barcelona, he left his engineering studies to attend the prestigious Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. Driven by a passion for acting, he then studied at HB Studio in New York during the summers of 2005 and 2007 with instructors such as Edward Morehouse, Jim Boerlin, and Carol Rosenfeld. In 2009, he was awarded a scholarship to Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London.
After earning his drama degree, his interest in languages and cultures led him to Rome, Italy, where he stayed for five months, followed by more than a year on Reunion Island, France.
Alongside numerous theatre productions since his early acting days, Jesus has appeared in many short films with emerging filmmakers across Spain, Italy, France, England, and the U.S. His first professional role came in the TV series "Pelotas," directed by Jose Corbacho and Juan Cruz, which opened doors to feature films like "Yo soy la Juani" by Bigas Luna, "Sing for Darfur" by Johan Kramer, and "Messi" by Alex de la Iglesia.
Jesus landed his first leading role in 2013 with the character-driven road movie "Tercer Grado" (Day Release), directed by Geoffrey Cowper. He portrayed Mark Rodriguez, a young man on his first weekend parole in five years, who strives to reconcile with his older brother Toni under difficult circumstances. The film and Jesus' performance earned multiple international awards, and he showcased the film in theaters across Spain, the U.S., China, Canada, Germany, and more.
In early 2017, Jesus relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he soon secured his first American lead role in the feature film "Black Flowers," directed by British filmmaker Martin Gooch.
