Biographie
Cordereau "Cord" Dye is an actor and recording artist in television and film. Born on March 20, 1987, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Cordereau has been active in the entertainment industry for over two decades. He began acting at age five in the Christian musical video compilation Hide Em In Your Heart Volume 1 (1992) featuring Steve Green. His film credits include Waterproof (2000), Michael Jordan: An American Hero (1999), The Angel Doll (2002), and the Peabody Award-winning TV movie Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters' First 100 Years (1999). Cordereau has appeared in commercials and radio spots for Presbyterian Healthcare, Hardee's, Target, The Charlotte Housing Partnership, and The College Foundation of North Carolina. He has worked alongside notable actors such as Burt Reynolds, Debbie Allen, Ernie Hudson, Camille Cosby, Diahann Carroll, Richard Roundtree, Ruby Dee, Orlando Jones, Robin Givens, Lonette McKee, and Whitman Mayo. His work has been featured in publications including the Chicago Tribune, Sun Sentinel, Greensboro News & Record, JET Magazine, and The Virginian-Pilot. Cordereau’s debut project as both actor and musician was Road Trip (2004), an award-winning educational film produced by Kendall Phills, in which he starred and co-produced the musical score. He also appeared as a robbery victim in the "Lake Pontchartrain Jane Doe Killer" episode of America’s Most Wanted (2005). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Hampton University in 2009. Recently, he wrote the dramatic screenplay The Family Trap, which entered pre-production in 2016.
