Biographie
Nancy Norton Bevins is an Indie Feature Producer and Writer. She proudly contributed to the production team of the award-winning feature film, "The Artist," collaborating with top designers, directors, and actors.
Engaged in both production and post-production, Bevins also writes screenplays. Her feature script, "Blonde Instinct," received five awards, including UCLA's Top Ten and a Toronto Festival GOOD-TO-GO award.
Bevins earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. She has produced over thirty shorts, promos, narratives, documentaries, and theatrical plays, often taking on roles as Producer, Writer, Editor, and/or Director.
Nancy has served as a juror for the Humanitas Awards and was Jury Chair for the Gabriel Awards for three years.
She volunteers her filmmaking talents by writing, directing, and producing promotional videos for non-profit organizations that support disenfranchised populations, the elderly, troubled teens, and youth offenders.
With a passion for Southern Fiction, Nancy’s early work includes literary adaptations of authors such as Doris Betts, Allan Gurganus, Lee Smith, and Flannery O’Connor. Her upcoming projects feature feature-length dramas, Southern fiction adaptations, and a new Flannery O’Connor adaptation.
