Biographie
Stefano Accorsi graduated from the School of Theater in Bologna. He splits his career between theater, film, and television. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of the Theater Foundation of Tuscany. The French Ministry of Culture honored him as a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters). He made his directorial debut with the short film Io non ti conosco, produced by Yoox Group, in which he also acted, earning the 2014 Nastro d'Argento Best New Director award. For Sky Italia, he created and starred in the series 1992 and its sequels 1993 and 1994, directed by Giuseppe Gagliardi. Additionally, he appeared in The Young Pope by Paolo Sorrentino, a Sky production in collaboration with HBO.
