Biographie
Denise Capezza, an Italian actress from Naples, completed fifteen years of academic study during her childhood and early teens, ultimately graduating in ballet. Driven by a lifelong passion for theatre and cinema, she pursued acting, initially studying in Naples before relocating to Rome. In 2012, she was cast as the lead in the Turkish TV series Uçurum, which took her to Istanbul, where she quickly learned Turkish. Following two successful seasons, she participated in several other Turkish projects. Inspired by her growth abroad, she returned to Italy in 2015 to establish her career at home. Soon after, director Stefano Sollima cast her as Marinella in Gomorrah (2014). She went on to appear in various TV, film, and theatre productions, including playing Natalia in the TV series Baby (2018), starring in the theatre play After The End by Dennis Kelly, and leading the social film Un mondo in più (2021). In 2022, she portrayed Giuseppina in the TV series Bang Bang Baby and appeared in David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future, which premiered at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. She also played lawyer Alessandra Persiano in Vincenzo Malinconico, Attorney (2022), a TV series based on Diego De Silva’s best-selling books, and took part in the filming of Unwanted (2023), directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel. Between 2023 and 2024, Denise worked on several projects, including Holy Shoes (2023), Sul più bello - La serie (2024), the Netflix series Deceitful Love (2024), and the Disney+ fantasy series Wonderboys: The Secret Treasure of Naples (2024). She is also one of the leads in Diva Futura (2024), which premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival, portraying Moana Pozzi.
