Biographie
Reginald Chevalier, a Haitian-American filmmaker, moved to the United States to pursue a career in Dramatic and Fine Arts. He earned an Associate degree in Film Production from Columbia College Chicago. Early in his career, he showcased his acting skills in theatre productions and TV commercials before relocating to Hollywood, where he discovered his passion behind the camera. He has since worked extensively as a producer, director, screenwriter, and actor. Reginald produced several successful films, including Nora's Hair Salon, Sugar Valentine, Go for Broke, and County General. As a producer, he remains closely involved in every stage of the filmmaking process, from development to distribution on mainstream media platforms. After a successful career in Los Angeles and numerous feature films, Reginald produced the Haitian film La Rebelle, which critics hailed as "the most riveting directing and acting in a film production created in Haiti so far." A decade later, he released his second feature film, Rasin Mwen (For the Love of Money), a drama that won "Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Actor" awards from the Motion Picture Association of Haiti (MPAH) in 2014. The film garnered over one million views and followers on YouTube and social media. Through his well-known Haitian production company, Chevalier United Entertainment (CUE3FILMS), he has produced numerous documentaries, commercials, and videos. Reginald continues to create compelling films and offer audiovisual services to prominent corporations worldwide. His current projects in development include Blood Trail and Taste of Salt, set to premiere in Summer 2021.
