Biographie
Myk Watford grew up in the Muscle Shoals area of northern Alabama. He studied at the University of Utah under Kenneth H. Washington and trained at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C.
Watford has appeared on nearly every police drama on television, including a recurring role on "Law & Order: SVU," as well as multiple roles in the "CSI" and "NCIS" franchises, among other procedural dramas. His TV credits also include Numb3rs (2005), Bosch (2014), Training Day (2017), The Mentalist (2008), Private Practice (2007), Bones (2005), Breaking Bad (2008), Cold Case (2003), Elementary (2012), Without a Trace (2002), The Closer (2005), True Blood (2008), Justified (2010), Longmire (2012), Lethal Weapon (2016), and Scandal (2012). In 2019, he portrayed Detective Morelli in Season 3 of HBO’s True Detective (2014). He also appeared in the true crime TV movie New York Prison Break: The Seduction of Joyce Mitchell (2017), as well as feature films such as No Country for Old Men (2007), Spider-Man (2002), and Trailer Park of Terror (2008).
On stage, Watford has performed in over 100 productions, including Broadway and off-Broadway shows like Take Me Out, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, The Good Negro, and Five By Tenn, among others. In addition to acting, he is a musician and leads the Hollywood-based swamp-rockabilly band Stumpwaller.
