Biographie
Michael Ruggiero is an experienced television and production executive and a respected member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA). He has held key roles at major networks including Bravo, IFC, Starz, Encore, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Programming at EPIX, an MGM Company. Ruggiero has driven innovative change by leading departments responsible for strategy, creative vision, mission statements, and business objectives, while negotiating numerous acquisition, production, and development deals. He has produced over 100 hours of content encompassing scripted and non-scripted programming, feature films, and documentaries for both linear and digital platforms. In 2011, he founded Nightscape Entertainment, a company focused on genre projects, and produced his first theatrical release as part of the horror anthology film "The Theatre Bizarre," directed by horror icon Tom Savini. Nightscape continues to develop genre material, including the film adaptation of legendary comic book creator Will Eisner's "A Contract With God," announced at San Diego Comic-Con. Ruggiero's extensive production credits include titles such as "Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film," "Blood Sucking Cinema," "Buy the Ticket Take the Ride: Hunter S. Thompson on Film," "Bullets Over Hollywood," "Fantastic Flesh: The Art of Make-up Effects," "The Spaghetti West," "Doc of the Dead," and the TV series "Crash.
