Biographie
Maximilian Wigger was born in Berlin in 1960. After completing his acting training at the Fritz-Kirchhoff-Schule in Berlin, he appeared in numerous theater productions across Germany starting in the early 1980s. Notable performances include Botho Strauss's 'Der Park' at the Schaubühne Berlin, directed by Peter Stein in 1985, and 'Die Frau des Bäckers' at Hamburg's Thalia Theater, directed by Dieter Wedel the same year. Between 1986 and 1988, Max Wigger acted in various productions at the Deutsche Theater Göttingen, such as Schiller's 'Kabale und Liebe', directed by Heinz Engels, where he played the role of Wurm. From 1988 to 1989, he was part of the Nationaltheater Mannheim ensemble, portraying the count Wetter vom Strahl in Kleist's 'Kätchen von Heilbronn', directed by Nicolas Brieger. In 1997, Max toured with the production 'Tabula Rasa', and in 1999, he performed at Berlin's Komödie am Kurfürstendamm in 'My Friend Harvey', playing Wilson under Jürgen Wölffer’s direction. During a 2004 tour, he played Proctor in Arthur Miller's 'Witch Hunt' and also took on the role of Oberon in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in Bad Hersfeld, where he additionally appeared in 'Besuch der alten Dame'. In 2005, Max Wigger joined the ensemble at the theater in Saarbrücken.
